Rabbi Craig Mayers
Rabbi Craig Mayers is no stranger to TBS. Craig and his wife, Terry, have been active members here since 2004. All three of their sons were students in the Religious School and became Bar Mitzvah at TBS. Over the years, Craig has served our congregation in numerous capacities, including on our Board of Directors as Ritual Chair and Vice President for Jewish Life, and as a teacher in our Religious School. He has also been our Music Director, playing keyboard and arranging music for our Friday night Shabbat Services. Now he is taking his service to and love for our congregation to the next level as a our spiritual leader.
A native New Yorker, Craig grew up in Plainview, Long Island where he attended both Orthodox and Conservative synagogues as a youth. He graduated in 1990 from SUNY Albany where he met his future wife, Terry. They married in 1991 and started their family in her hometown of Rochester, NY. The family moved to Viera with their three sons, Julian, Zachary and Ryan in 2002. When not busy with his Rabbinical studies, Rabbi Craig enjoys cycling, Geocaching, creating and listening to music and cheering on the New York Mets. So far to little avail…
